Crooked Can Minneola Is Now Open: A New Destination Near Clermont

The South Lake area continues to grow, and one of its most anticipated new destinations is officially open. Crooked Can Brewing Company – Minneola opened its doors on July 15, 2026, bringing a large new brewery, food hall and community gathering space to Minneola, just north of Clermont.

Located at 1600 Crooked Can Loop, the new location is part of Hills City Center, a major mixed-use development that is helping reshape this part of South Lake County.

Much More Than a Brewery

For Central Florida residents who know Crooked Can from its original location at Plant Street Market in Downtown Winter Garden, the scale of the Minneola project is impressive.

The new destination spans approximately 42,950 square feet, including a 2,000-square-foot taproom, a food hall featuring local vendors, indoor and outdoor gathering areas, live entertainment and family-friendly spaces. The Hills City Center development also features green space and a splash pad, making the area designed for families to spend time rather than simply stop for a meal or drink.

Crooked Can’s own website now lists the Minneola brewery as open, with its food hall, artisan marketplace and events among the location’s main attractions.

Crooked Can Minneola: A New Gathering Place for South Lake

One of the things I find most interesting about this project is how it reflects the evolution happening throughout the Clermont-Minneola area.

The new Crooked Can isn’t an isolated development. It serves as a centerpiece of the 96-acre Hills City Center, where plans extend beyond dining and entertainment to additional shopping, wellness and everyday services.

That combination of residential growth with new restaurants, healthcare, retail and recreational amenities is changing what it means to live in this part of Lake County.

Local Food, Entertainment and Outdoor Space

The food hall was designed to showcase local businesses and a variety of dining concepts, giving families and groups the ability to choose from different cuisines while sharing the same gathering space.

Outdoor areas are another major part of the experience. The development includes green spaces and a splash pad, while Crooked Can incorporates outdoor gathering and entertainment areas into the property. Live music and community events are also part of the concept.

It creates the type of destination where someone might come for lunch but stay to enjoy the outdoor spaces, meet friends or attend an event.

Why This Matters for Clermont and Minneola

Although Crooked Can is officially located in Minneola, its arrival is significant for the greater Clermont and South Lake area.

Clermont and Minneola have experienced substantial residential and commercial development, and projects such as Hills City Center bring more amenities closer to the families moving into these communities.

For me, that is an important part of following Central Florida real estate. Growth isn’t simply about how many homes are being built. It’s also about what develops around those homes — restaurants, healthcare, entertainment, outdoor spaces and places where a community can gather.

Hills City Center describes Crooked Can as only the beginning, with additional shopping, dining, entertainment, wellness and everyday experiences planned for the larger development.

Living in the Clermont Area

For homebuyers exploring Clermont and the surrounding South Lake communities, the area offers everything from established neighborhoods and lakefront properties to luxury homes and extensive new construction.

The continued expansion of the Clermont-Minneola corridor is also bringing more services and lifestyle destinations closer to residents, while maintaining access to the lakes, hills and outdoor recreation that distinguish this part of Central Florida.
